Layla has been a Portland stylist since 2001. Working consistently behind the chair during that time has allowed her to hone her skills and really identify her strengths as a stylist. “ I’m open to working with absolutely anyone, and definitely enjoy a challenge, but my most satisfying results are with clients who are interested in working with their natural texture and growth patterns. Less fussing means less struggle and more self love.” Curls, pixies, texture and layers, Layla’s goal is a cut that requires minimal styling and maintains its shape between salon visits. Meet Louie (they/them). A born and raised Portlander who loves to draw, do tarot, spend time in the great outdoors as well as support the local punk/music scene. Louie excels working with curly hair, razor cuts, modern and alternative hair styles. They also love a creative color challenge! Louie’s style inspirations range from classic elements of the 60’s and 70’s, to edgier nuances from the 90’s punk movement. Louie approaches their work as a collaborative process with their clients: co-creating a style that feels personal to each individual. “ I pride myself on my creativity, strong listening skills and ability to connect with clients. I am especially passionate about providing gender-affirming haircuts and creating an inclusive space for people from all walks of life”.
